Hey lovelies!
Oh! This is my first interview-y vlog ever! Oh my goodness, Susannah and I had so much fun doing this, and she made it so easy, we laughed so much! I’m so excited to share this with you, eeee!
How it all came about: I pre-ordered Susannah’s book This I Know: Notes on Unraveling the Heart back in February, I was so excited to read it because I love Susannah’s message and the way she writes. Her blog was one of the first ones I started reading, Unravelling was the first e-course I took: Susannah’s work touches my heart. This time was no different.
One evening there was a box from Amazon waiting for me at my doorstep. I went inside and opened it, saw it was her book and immediately sat down in the floor to start reading it, alternating between turning pages and scratching Beanie’s cute little head. I got pages in, stopped reading and raced to my computer to email Susannah. Tears on my cheeks, her book, her words, her story, it made me feel understood and seen and held safely. We went back and forth, and she asked if I’d like to do something for her launch. My response? Hell. Yes.
Because what she gives is everything, what she shares is raw and real and beautiful.
Bits and bolts:
- You can order the book through Susannah’s site by clicking here. There are links on the page to Amazon (US, UK and Canada) and Barnes & Noble. You can also head out to your local bookstore and snag your copy there.
- You can connect with Susannah on her website and Twitter.
- You can go deeper into the process of using creativity and self-expression to heal with Susannah in the next session of Self-love Warriors – she’s one of the amazing guides for this go-round.
Susannah, thank you so much for sharing this space and your story. Oh, and thank you for recording the interview, too, ha!
