Sensual pleasure, and getting it on with life

Sensual, by Christina Seitz

.
The truth is that I am a glutton for sensual pleasure.

I create this into my life experience by:

  • Indulging in sensual tastes [tea, fancy chocolates
  • Staging sensual experiences [having a bath with special candles and salts]
  • Pleasuring myself often [with my little vibrating friend]
  • Exploring my sensuality with my Lover [getting it on]
  • Giving myself time [enjoying the delicious gift of having down time, un-structured, un-focused time]
  • Doing lots of little things, just because they make me feel good

Connecting to my sensuality is a gloriously self-indulgent and delicious part of my life. It is my way of giving to myself. It is my way of creating a relationship with life that demonstrates to myself that I am worthy, deserving and entitled to all the goodness that exists in my life and within myself.

I don’t wait for other people to give these pleasures to me. I give them to myself because it is a focus in my life to find ways of demonstrating my own self-love to me.

This is my practice of allowing myself to receive. This is one of the ways I break down barriers to receiving. I used to have huge blocks to allowing myself to receive. I would automatically deflect back what I had been given without truly enjoying the gift. Now I consciously suck in as much goodness as possible, as I recognize that these are gifts from life.

I allow myself to receive by accepting compliments, letting people be kind to me, gratefully accepting all the forms of abundance that grace my life and by indulging in creating my own joyful pleasure.

No matter what you are focused on creating in your life, it will not bear fruit if you are not allowing yourself to receive. You are wasting a lot of energy and interrupting the natural cycle of life. You are breaking up your own natural flow of goodness.

I challenge you to create more pleasure in your life. Maybe this means whipping down your pants and having your way with yourself, or maybe this means sitting in the sunshine. Do what works for you. Fully embrace the moment and allow yourself to drink in the goodness of life. You are fully worth it.
