Lessons on living and dying

Hello, sweetloves.

I hope that you are having such a beautiful day.

Some of you know that I rock a 9-to-5 outside of RoS. I don’t talk about it here very often, but something happened at work a few weeks ago that really shook me.

It came in the form of this big, powerful wake-up call, and when the Universe/Creator/God(dess) sends you out a message like this, there are only two things you can do.

  1. Listen to it.
  2. Share it.

I listened, closely.
Now, I’m sharing it, gratefully.

With a fierce heart,

Thank you. For sharing so openly. And for me reminding me, on a day when I really needed to hear this. My heart has shifted. xo

  2. Jenn, you caught me. I’d already begun my day with grumbling, having woken at 5 am and not being able to go back to sleep, thoughts racing, doubt churning. How easy it is to let myself slide into this, wasting precious moments of a beautiful life. And it IS a beautiful life.

Thank you for sharing this, pulling the focus back and reminding me that my purpose is so much bigger than this moment of frustration. I will ease myself into today with gratitude.

Love to you and your beautiful generous spirit.

Jenn…. I didn’t know if I was going to have time this morning to drop by all the places I like to…so I chose one..here..and I’m soooooo grateful I did ♥

I’ve been blessed with the most amazing job…with awesome clients and to have been in the same place for the last 30 years pouring my heart and soul into everything I do and the waves of love that come back because of the way I do it blow me away every day !
just this week a client came by…just to come tell me her husband was going to be dying in the next 48 hours…she came for hugs..she came for our love, she came to feel not so alone… to share the loss before it came .. I don’t know how long we stood there hugging… life has no time when we really connect.
thank you for your wonderful heart and your sharing
remembering why we came here is the most important thing

    love and light

When I got home I found my sister had spent the day with co-workers as they too had a sudden death, spending the day remembering and sharing. I am so blessed that from the nature of my work I get to open and receive such deep love. Daily my life is touched in many ways…
Thank you for this wonderful spot you have here.. your energy just shines
        love and light

Thank you Jen, Although tried and recovering from stress at work your message helped me. I got myself dressed and went out to a gallery opening to have a lovely evening and be with people. Otherwise I may have stayed home and just felt a little sorry for myself. May all beings have peace. Clarex

    Jenn,
Thanks for reminding all of us to keep our focus on the important things – We all experience frustrations and inconveniences as we go about our day, but more importantly we experience beauty, love, connection. It is every where if we just open our eyes to see and our hearts to receive. Thank you for bringing a moment of beauty, love and connection into my life today.

    1. Jenn Gibson says:

      Aww, thank you, Dottie. ♥

God bless you. I think you are an angel. Thank you for the opportunity for me to read your words and I do, everyday.
I’m sorry about the loss of such a kind person. I know that your words and your love are known to her.
I’m glad that today I actually heard the sound of your voice.
I’m going to start sharing Roots of She with my 16 year old daughter. Can you imagine how this would have helped your life when you were 16? I never heard such words but I did know prayer in my heart and was sure of God’s love for me, especially through Mother Mary. But I was so hard on myself and self love seemed an almost selfish idea. Thank you again, Jenn

    1. Jenn Gibson says:

Oh my gosh, Kathleen, you’ve left me speechless. Thank you for such sweet words, they touch my heart. And oh yes, please share RoS with your daughter — if I could’ve found a place like this when I was a teenager, it would’ve… it would’ve helped me so much. I wish you a beautiful day, xo.

  10. I dont’ know what else could have touched me so much today. We easily get complacent in life and think…this is okay and that is enough. But we do need to thrive and deserve to thrive. Thank you for your heartfelt message.

  11. Beryl says:

Thank you so much for this reminder. I too work a 9-5 while pursuing my passion work and it can be so so so easy to get caught up in the B.S. You are so right that we need to remember to live mindfully, purposefully, and compassionately each and every day. xo.

    1. Jenn Gibson says:

I know, right? Sometimes you just have to jar yourself out of that mindset, you know what your true purpose is, the BS? Sooo not it. Not by a longshot.

  12. Heather says:

Oh wow. Your message hit me like a ton of bricks. I try to live my life on purpose every day, but it’s so easy to slip into the routine of letting time slip by, complaining about the little things, ignoring my heart’s call. Thank you for the beautiful reminder to make sure I thrive and make magic with my precious time on this earth.

    1. Jenn Gibson says:

I’m making little note cards to leave as reminders for myself, they all say: Remember your purpose. This weekend I’m decorating them with glitter, so fun!

Beautiful Jenn :) Thank you for sharing this and for reminding me today that all the “stuff” I find myself caught up in is neither life nor death, even if it sometimes feels that way. A powerful reminder, and I am grateful. xo
