For optimal spiritual and human growth, you need to get out and laugh your ass off. Laughter acts to remove energetic blocks and it brings more clarity into your life.
We have this pattern that we go through on our human journey where we are always experiencing growth spurts. We decide the direction that we want to go based on our noticed unhappiness with our current situation. When we are feeling emotions that don’t feel good to us, they are always telling us something and propelling us into a new direction.
The problem is that sometimes we get bogged down in the uncertainty of moving forward. We doubt ourselves, we feel that we don’t have all the pieces put together perfectly yet. We hold onto the way that things used to be, even though we recognize that the current situation is no longer serving us.
Bringing some laughter into your life will help you make huge leaps forward. The experience of laughter helps you shake off the energy of the current situation, and it will help you let go where you may be holding on too much. Whatever your particular flavor of laughter may be, I encourage you to fully indulge in it.
Don’t judge what makes you laugh. Maybe you like raunchy humor, maybe you like really shitty movies. Just go with it. When is the last time you really let yourself go, and laughed like a wild woman? Reconnect with that energy and do whatever it takes to bring you back into that energy. I recently watched the movie “Bridesmaids”, and it made me laugh my ass off. After that a whole bunch of pieces of my life effortlessly floated together that I had been feeling uncertain about.
I am all about inappropriate humor, and I love to play with the people who I am close with. It is my natural tendency to be serious, and to focus on how I can fix my situation with my mind. I make conscious efforts to be playful and I find this practice deeply enhances my growth.
When you are caught up in a stressful situation, a stressful relationship, or a deadline, take some time off to reconnect with your laughter. Don’t listen to your mind when it tells you that this is not what you need to be doing right now. By shifting the focus, you will enhance your creativity and you will receive more clarity from within. The answers will seem easy to you, you just weren’t in the right place to grasp them before.
Experiencing laughter is like shaking of a dirty coat that is acting like a dark cloud around you. What can you do to bring more laughter into your life right now?
