In search of Sabbath

Hello, sweetpea. (Yes, I called you sweetpea!)

I really love the word Sabbath – it’s a resting place, a space where you can press pause, time for you to be still and revel in life, loved ones, each moment.

So, I’m not taking a sabbatical, I’m introducing Sabbath into my life.

For me this means spending dedicated time journalling and meditating, running on the beach, listening to the waves, reading and creating. It means reforming my home into a sanctuary, diving deep and releasing, cooking good whole foods.

It means moving slowly and with intention, focusing on how I want to feel rather than what needs to be done, writing letters, letting myself unravel some instead of trying to hold it all together with a clenched fist. It means paying homage to the messy bits and sitting in gratitude for each of their lessons.

It means I’m creating a resting place, a space where I can press pause, time for me to be still and revel in life, loved ones, each moment.

The one piece that will directly impact you is this last one: I won’t be updating RoS with new material for the next several days.

Everything that I already have scheduled to run will still run — stories from tribe members, newsletters and Self-care for the Soul, tweets, the August Sponsor Spotlight.

What will be missing for the next week and some change are the morning meditations, tribe love posts and Facebook updates. (This is where planning stuff out weeks in advance comes in handy, ha! :) )

Regularly scheduled programming will start back Aug. 9.

There’s a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes right now and I want to share it with you.

  1. I’ve started working with a gifted and wise coach – Rachel W. Cole. After connecting with Rachel at her Alexandria retreatshop, I knew I wanted to work with her on a deeper level. She’s a Truth Whisperer and has such a warm and safe presence. I respect and admire her beyond words and I’m thrilled to be working with her.

  2. Next week I’ll be going from zero to infinity with Alexandra Franzen – we’re going to be hitting warp VELOCITY and I’m sorts of giddy about it. I’ve wanted to work with Alex for so long, I’ve had this scheduled since March (March!) and now it’s finally here. Eeee!

  3. I’ve started sketching out a new e-course focusing on the practical side of self-care – more how-to, less woo-woo. It will be opening up in late September or early October. It’s really important to me to listen to what you all need and so many of you have asked for this. This course is going to be really empowering and grounding – and it’s gonna rooooock!

  4. When I was a kid, I loved to rearrange my room, and it’s still one of my favorite things. With that being said, things will be looking a bit different here and there as I’m honing my vision and dream for this space. There are a lot of things that feel really big right now, and it’s good. It’s really, really good.

Thank you for holding this space for me, it means the world.

Wishing you joy,
