A means by which we arrive

Hello, sweetlove. ♥

One thing I know as truth is this: Self-care isn’t selfish – it’s the height of generosity.

I know that when you take care of yourself, you feel more grounded, more balanced, more centered. Happier, at ease, ready to savor each moment, even the messy ones. You feel at peace.

I know that when I feel at peace, I speak peace, write peace, give peace… and breathe peace, into the world.

Because peace isn’t a destination — but a daily practice.

But so many of us don’t know where or how to begin.
So I created Breathe Peace.

I had planned on transitioning it over to an ebook-only format, but I really love the communities built during the sessions, the connections and conversations, the sense of solidarity. The knowledge that we’re all in this together.

So I changed my mind and instead of retiring it, I revamped it, deepened it, expanded it. It’s so much more now, and more is good. I like more, especially with this.

Registration is open through May 14, the session runs May 15-June 12. Details, FAQs, and love notes from women who have taken Breathe Peace live here.

I hope you are having a beautiful day.

With heart,

Taking flight

.
Hello, sweet soul.

So, things look a little different around here, huh?

I spilled the beans to my newsletter folk last month — I was so worried about how it would be received. I leaned into the fear, relaxed into it. I let it soften me. And then I told them what I’m telling you now.

The winter tribe was the last.

I’m not closing the doors at RoS, far from it.

But I am changing things, radically.

Today marks the first day that I’m the sole writer here. There’ll still be Wild Women stories and guest posts here and there, but the majority of the stories shared on the site will be from me.

For the longest time, that one thought scared me. My hands would shake, I would question making this change. I worked through so much BS to get here, to be able to feel the thrill of it all. And now it’s all thrill, no nerves.

Because when I made the decision, it felt right.

My heart felt at ease and I’ve learned to trust how my heart feels.

So, yes. Things will be changing over the next several months, but what’s not changing is the heart-centered focus of the site. That will always be there, it will always be here.

So take off your coat and get cozy.

If you’re new here, welcome.

If spring is calling to you for a fresh start, let’s talk rebirth and renewal.

If you want to see the places I go for inspiration, here is where my heart guides me.

Or, if you just want to say hi, please do.

I’m so happy you are here.

Happy spring, loves.

A wish for you

Hello, sweetest.

Things will be quiet around these parts today and tomorrow, I’m snuggling down with family and quiet moments and a grateful heart.

The next stories from the winter tribe runs Wednesday and Thursday mornings, with some link lovin’ at the end of the week. New Year’s Eve and day will be quiet, too, with things easing back after that.

I wish you joy, a bright heart, peaceful sleeps. I wish you belly laughs and smiles so big that your cheeks get sore. I wish you snowfalls and cozy evenings and mugs of tea and hot cocoa.

I wish you happiness, I wish you ease and my HSP heart wishes you moments of quiet and space and solitude.

Love and love and love,

My favorite mantra : Breathe peace

Hello, lovedoves, happy first day of November.

Whenever I feel upset or stressed out or irritable, I think of two words: breathe peace.
When I feel afraid or uncomfortable or uncertain, I think of two words: breathe peace.

It’s my favorite mantra, the one I lean on the most when my edges are showing. Those two words help me to slow things down and come back to center and remember all of the things I know to be True.

And that’s why I gave Breathe peace its name.

With everything going on in the world, in our lives, in our homes, the one thing I know to be true is that when we take care of ourselves, we can do anything. When our cups are filled to the brim, we feel at ease and home, wherever we are.

But what if we are still looking for ways to fill our cups? What if we need just a little help getting started?

That’s one of the reasons why I created Breathe peace, because sometimes we just need someone to help us get started.

This is a tiny update to share that registration is open and runs through Nov. 11, with the course running Nov. 12-Dec. 8. Something else? This session of Breathe peace is Pay What Feels Good.

Details of the course and love from the first group of women live here – and let me tell you: there’s a whole lotta love.

Because self-care isn’t selfish. It’s one of the kindest things you can do for yourself.

With deep breaths,

Peace isn’t a destination – but a daily practice

Hello, sweet soul.

Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal.”

In other words, peace isn’t a destination — but a daily practice. A way of framing reality. A personal commitment to ease, grace and compassion.

Beautiful ideas, sure … but how do we actually invite peace into our lives, in practical ways? What are the rituals? What are the practices? How do we make it … REAL?

Registration runs through Sept. 23.

I don’t have all the answers, but I have a lifetime of lived experience.

I know that peace and self-care are intrinsically united. I know that when I feel at peace, I speak peace, write peace, give peace … and breathe peace, into the world.

And this fall, I’m inviting you to become a beacon of peace, with me — by joining my brand-new e-course, BREATHE PEACE, and raising your voice in a community of reverent, radical women.

Early love & sweet words for Breathe peace

Breathe peace is your permission slip to stop, savor and step into your own skin.

It’s thoughtful and poignant with downloads of wisdom, beautiful affirmations, gentle nudges and a meditation that will fill your soul with the truth of your being.

So powerful. So. Damn. Powerful.

Like many of us, I watched Oprah hundreds of times over the years.

My takeaway was that I needed to look after ME first. How can I give to others if I’m not full myself?

However, knowing it, and doing it, are two separate things. Sometimes we know that we need to do something, but don’t know how or where to start.

This is where the beauty of Breathe peace begins. Jenn provides a loving and gentle guide for us to make space within the crazy, reconnect with what we truly love, and find our way back to ourselves.

Beautiful in its ease and simplicity, Breathe peace helps us find our own self-care practice, perfectly suited to the person who needs it most – our self.

If you find it hard to take time for yourself, start here.

Breathe Peace is a first aid kit for your soul.

If you are feeling over-worked, stressed, burnt-out, worried, at your wit’s end, Jenn covers all the bases to get you back to your peaceful center.

If you continue to shape your every day with the tools that are offered in this course, I have no doubt that it will improve the quality of your life.

Self-care often feels just out of reach for me. I know I need more of it, but can’t quite get there.

Jenn’s gentle Breathe peace pulls self-care from a far-off ideal to present reality, with solid and practical steps to take right now.

Even in the midst of whirlwind busyness, this toolbox reminds me that peace really can be a breath away. With Jenn’s guidance, you can start taking better care of yourself, too–today.
