Hello, I’m Andrea Schroeder from ABCcreativity. I am a creative dream coach, healer, artist and all around magic-maker at www.ABCcreativity.com. I pour magic, sparkles and secret messages into all of my creative work, infusing it with reminders of what an incredible being you really are, and what incredible things you really are capable of.
I do this because my mission is to remind you of your real creative power.
I believe that you are a creative genius and you can create anything.
And I don’t just believe it about you. I believe it about every single one of us.
We are all gorgeous creative geniuses.
Whatever it is you want to create in your life – I want to help you do it. I help amazing creative dreamers, like you, with every aspect of dreaming and stepping into the dream. And I am really happy to be here at Roots of She and am excited about exploring here with you. I have a really fun creative journaling adventure planned for us!
Exploring your Roots to Discover Your Sparkling Authentic Self | Andrea Schroeder
Whenever I think of Roots of She what comes to mind is a tree. Not just any tree, but my favourite tree. A magnificent tree. I see it in my mind’s eye and my imagination flows down below the grass beneath it to the roots. And I wonder – what kinds of roots does it take to hold and nourish such a magnificent tree?
Then I wonder – what kinds of roots does it take to hold and nourish such a magnificent being as you?
So I wanted to explore this in my creative journal and invite you along on the adventure. I’ll be doing this over the next few months, taking a few steps with it in each post.
If creative journaling is new to you you can read about it on my creative journaling page. Creativity injects journaling with magic and possibility and that is what we are going for here.
If you want to join in, here are the materials I will be using:
- a journal or sheet of paper
- a photo of a tree (from a photograph or magazine) or a drawing of a tree (does not have to be a “good” drawing)
- glue, gluestick or tape to attach the tree to the page (not needed if you are drawing your tree)
- pen, pencil or marker
- paints (optional but fun)
- pencil crayons (optional but fun)
- glitters (optional but fun)
Step one:
Glue the tree photo into your journal, or do a tree drawing. Here is mine:
Totally optional:
Paint a border around the tree. Here is mine:
If you don’t have paint, you could also doodle a border or colour one with pencil crayons or markers.
So that’s not much but I want to go slow to give you a chance to find your tree and get organised.
Next time you will start digging in and exploring your roots.
